We spent 10 unforgettable days in this charming holiday house in Sarlat as a family of four, and it truly exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the owners made us feel incredibly welcome—friendly, attentive, and always happy to help with any query, they played a big part in making our break as relaxing and enjoyable as possible.The house itself is full of character, with that quintessential French charm that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a postcard. The kitchen was impressively well-equipped, making meal prep a breeze, whether we were whipping up a quick lunch or preparing ingredients for one of our many BBQs. We spent countless evenings chatting under the porch, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere and enjoying the outdoor space. The pool was a real highlight—perfect for cooling off during the warm afternoons and ideal for unwinding with a book or a drink in hand. The living room was cozy and comfortable, with lovely views overlooking the pétanque court, adding a delightful touch of local flair to our stay. All in all, this was a fantastic base for exploring the beauty of Sarlat and the surrounding Dordogne region. We left with wonderful memories and would absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing, authentic French getaway.
Property was excellent and all was as advertised. Location great - 800m max from town centre. Good parking, facilities and pool. High quality property in excellent location and the hosts were fantastic and made it all very easy. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for stay in Sarlat. A great property and perfect hosts.
Extremely well positioned close to all amenities but in a quiet residential area. The host was very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. Lots of lovely extra touches making our stay perfect, including good quality bed linen and furnishings and a really well equipped kitchen. We would love to return and would not hesitate to recommend.
We loved staying at Geraldine and Joe’s lovely house in Sarlat. Their house was perfect for us, three excellent bedrooms for a couple, our son, and a friend. A perfect choice for us, as it was easy to walk to town with its restaurants, beautiful buildings and other fine heritage features, a walk or short drive to grocery and other practical stores, easy to drive in and out of to the many amazing sights within 30 minutes’ drive. We loved Lascaux IV, Marqueyssac Gardens and of course the Sarlat Saturday market. The house is beautiful, in a quiet location, and includes a couple of great parking spots. Joe and Geraldine were very prompt and cordial with their helpful and personal messages before and throughout our visit. We all felt that we could not have made a better choice for a place to stay in lovely Sarlat. We felt very well taken care of by Geraldine and Joe, thank you to you both.
Geraldine is the best. So available and willing to help and advise. Such a pleasure to meet her. Love the town and was easy to walk to. The house is just beautiful. Enjoyed spending time there. The Saturday market in Sarlat a fun activity and great for getting wonderful things to cook. Found a lovely patisserie called Massoulier in the shopping street in town. Had breakfast there a couple of times. Delicious and very nice owners. So much to see and do to list.
Terrific house, wonderful owners! We cannot say enough about this lovely house and the very caring, accessible owners! It’s very comfortable and convenient, with easy parking, charming garden and easy walk to everything. We had a medical emergency and the host went far above and beyond to assist. We hope to be back soon!!!
